Blog 3 - Covid and Me

Covid really started affecting me with senior activities. I was a senior in 2020 and we had to cancel the band trip we had planned to San Antonio, Texas to march in their light parade. It also made us miss our prom, senior trip, and canceled our graduation. We were supposed to have it at the Sundome at USF, but we ended up having it on a small stage on the football field and we could only have two people there each. Covid also made me decide to start college by going to a local community college since classes were all online.

When I transferred to NC State Fall 2021, it was very overwhelming. It was the first time I had actual in person college classes and I was also living alone for the first time and in a different state. It was a lot to adjust to, so I though it wasn't for me and I ended up planning to transfer to a college back in Florida. Being back here definitely helped me realize I want to be at NC State. I am moving in with two friends next fall and I'm really looking forward to actually trying to enjoy college.

  1. Wow that must be really challenging moving back and forth from colleges. I couldn't imagine going to school out of state. That sucks you couldn't do all those senior actives, at my high school the class of 2020 didn't get a graduation at all so im happy you got to!
