Blog 3 - Covid and Me

Covid really started affecting me with senior activities. I was a senior in 2020 and we had to cancel the band trip we had planned to San Antonio, Texas to march in their light parade. It also made us miss our prom, senior trip, and canceled our graduation. We were supposed to have it at the Sundome at USF, but we ended up having it on a small stage on the football field and we could only have two people there each. Blog 2 - Ishmael Discussion

Our discussion was 1/19/2022 7-7:30pm. We talked about how Ishmael talked a lot about the idea that the world was made for men or that man was created for the world. The takers and leavers show both ideas. We noticed how leavers are the people who discovered how to build settlements and use the land to farm. Takers view the world's resources as their own and have destroyed the environment.  We also talked about how humans take animals from the wild and put them in zoos and carnivals. Ishmael's own experience in captivity changed how he thought. When he met Mr. Sokolow, he began reading his books and educating himself. He also could easily escape but decided no to since he liked to observe the people around him.
